Judith Lyons-Picard
Judi is a native Charlestonian that transplanted to Asheville in 1995. In addition to her art training from Wingate College and The College Of Charleston, Judi completed finishing school and the professional modeling program at Millie Lewis Modeling Agency. Judi was a finalist in the Miss S.C. USA Pageant 1992 as well as Mrs. WNC 2009. Judi received her cosmetology certification from North Carolina Academy of Cosmetic Art and has been honing her skills for over 25 years. Judi is the founding owner of The Lyons Mane Salon with 18 years of salon service to the Asheville and surrounding communities.
Cara Hardin
Cara Hardin is a local girl from Haywood County and has worked along side salon owner Judith Lyons Picard for over 10 years! Although she hates to admit it, she’s been in the beauty industry over 30. She specializes in short stylish women’s cuts. She won’t be “just your stylist” she’ll be your friend. In the world of fast food and casual dining, Cara is definitely a dining experience!
Sarah Owenby-Bishop
17yrs. at The Lyons Mane Sarah Owenby-Bishop Is a native of Asheville, NC. After graduating from Enka High School Sarah obtained her massage certification from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Sarah is always actively learning new ways to bring relief to her clients through voluntary continuing education. In addition to her traditional table massage skills, Sarah has quite the following of Thai Massage clients. She is currently working toward being certified as a Thai Master. In addition to her Massage certification Sarah also has obtained her Associates of Science from A-B Tech. Sarah has a beautiful son as well as a horse named My Star and several fur babies. In her down time she rides horses with her Mother Laura and enjoys running with her Father Kenneth. Sarah is also knowledgeable about essential oils as well as healthy living habits.
Leah Devore
Leah DeVore is an up and coming stylist at The Lyons Mane. She started her hair career as the personal assistant to the owner. Taking her new found knowledge, she pursued the beginning of her own hair career. Leah brings with her knowledge and talent of all the latest and greatest our industry has to offer. She is sweet, smart, beautiful and the Mother to a beautiful 3 year old daughter.
Tori Flowers
Tori has been. Licensed hairstylist for over 17years and with The Lyons Mane for 4 years. She is a very multi-talented woman holding many certifications within the beauty industry. Cosmetology isn’t just a career it is in her blood. Many in her family work in the industry making her very knowledgeable of various services available to you as you pursue your own beauty journey. From Straightening services to extensions and lash extensions, Tori is a wealth of knowledge.
Makenna Modlin
Makenna joined the Lyons Mane Salon in 2024. She has her Associates degree in cosmetology from Haywood Community College. When not in the salon, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
